On June 11, 2023, WIYSO’s musicians presented their final concert of the 2022-2023 season: ”Festivités Printanières!” Featuring works by Berlioz, Piazzolla, Mendelssohn, and the young Quebecois composer and former member of the orchestra, Leo Purich.

The musicians captivated the audience with a range of emotions, styles, and eras. It was a remarkable concert that demonstrated the potential of the young musicians from the West Island!

During the concert, Stewart Grant was designated Music Director Emeritus in recognition of his 18 years of dedication and commitment to WIYSO. What an accomplishment!
